About Our Defensive Edge Knife/Counter-Knife Program

MDI's Defensive Edge Knife/Counter Knife program teaches you how to defend yourself from knife attacks and how to use knives to defend yourself. The techniques and tactics are derived primarily from the Filipino Fighting art of Escrima and the Congress of American Knife Fighters (Scientific Fighting Congress) . If you carry a knife with the intent of using it as a defensive weapon, then take the time to learn how to use it effectively and how to defend against a knife weilding opponent.

Approximately 65 percent of the population is carrying some sort of edged weapon on the person today. Some carry utility knives, some carry hunting knives while others carry tactical folders. Don't be a victim to an edged weapon assault. Learn how to protect yourself through practical approaches in our course.
